WHAT'S IN A NAME:

“At first we came up with our name by jokingly examining the safest article of clothing a woman could wear in the club, though perhaps not in the bathroom. Romper, which coincidentally translates into “to break” in Spanish, has come to signify the spaces we want to transgress into as a band.

In the end, we are just four friends looking to have fun and make some noise.” -Karina Lopez

HOMETOWN: Carson

MEMBERS:

▶ Derek Pasquel, vocals

▶ Gavin Gomez, bass

▶ Rayden Agura, guitar

▶ Rayce Agura, drums

WHAT'S IN A NAME:

“The meaning behind our name M.A.D.D.  is to capture our music meaning and  fast sound, talking about subjects we are madd about and fucking despise. We also use our name M.A.D.D, a well known non-profit, as a scapegoat of the disreputable activities we partake and associate with through our daily life.

Our abbreviation of M.A.D.D. (Mental at Da Dome) also expresses our presence and mental states in moments of life, especially at shows.” -Derek Pasquel

TORENA

HOMETOWN: Oxnard

MEMBERS:

▶ Julien, guitar/vocals

▶ David, drums

▶ Dante, guitar

▶ Mika, bass

WHAT'S IN A NAME: “We started this band in early 2020 after wanting to have a more raw/hardcore-sounding band together.

Our name comes from an old band that me and David used to be in with guitarist Dante about four or five years ago. We named it after the street Dante had lived on at the time and we’ve always loved the name, so it just kind of stuck around.” -David Stalsworth

UP NEXT: In October with Bare Minimum and Far Worse. Check the band’s Instagram for more details.

And, also check out the band’s eight-song debut album due out in late October to early November on all streaming platforms.
